Angie Allen (team member since 2016)

Hi, my name is Angie Allen. I have always loved animals. I was that kid who begged my parents relentlessly for a puppy until I got one. His name was Jake. He was my first love. I have worked with animals for 20 years. I worked at a veterinary office for 15 years, a pet store, a groomer and, before I had my own, had fostered dogs. My life would be incomplete without my furry friends. Now that I work for Shake a Leg! my circle of friends has become much larger! How lucky am I that every day I get walk with, play with, and snuggle with what I like to call "furry babies". (team member since 2016)

Tyler Wenz (team member since 2024)

Hello! My name is Tyler and I am a life-long dog owner and animal lover! I am a new father and former middle school teacher who has recently gotten back into the animal care industry. Earlier in my working career, I was employed at a few different kennels and always longed to return to working with animals. After being afforded the opportunity to work with the kind and caring people at Shake a Leg!, I feel I am now doing what I was always meant to do. When I am not out and about showing all the love to our clients’ pets, I enjoy going on adventures and exploring the local trails with my two fur babies, Violet and Rudy. io

Robin Stewart (team member since 2024)

Hi I’m Robin Stewart.  I have always had pets growing up as a child. I was 9 when I got my first pet. He was a stray cat that I named Pierre. My love for animals has grown even stronger into my adulthood. I have been a pet parent to 7 dogs and 14 cats. I currently have 2 wonderful dogs and 4 very entertaining cats! In addition to having had many pets through out my life I’ve  cared for family and friends pets and have done volunteer work. I am a member of ASPCA as well as PETA. Nothing gives me more joy and pleasure being able to spend time and provide love and care to animals. I am so lucky to be with Shake A Leg and to have the opportunity to spend time with daily walks, play and interacting with all the animals.

Dyanne Chace (team member since 2022)

Hi!  My name is Dyanne Chace. I was a Trauma Nurse for 33 years. I'm human and animal CPR certified.  I also am an 11 year volunteer for Connecticut Draft Horse Rescue, and also volunteer for A Place Called Hope, a birds of prey rescue in Killingworth.  I love all living things, plants too!  I'm an avid gardener, composter, recycler, and a vegetarian!  I've had Newfoundlands, my whole adult life, and lost my heart dog Noelle, 4 years ago. Brokenhearted I never thought I'd have another dog.  Through the magic of Shake A Leg, and one of our beloved clients, I rescued my Skye dog. I'm in love again!  Have been a team member since 2022.

Simon Allen (team member since 2022)

Hi, I’m Simon. I live in Hebron, and I graduated from RHAM in 2021. Now I am a senior at Eastern Connecticut State University. I’ve always had a love for animals and when I was little, I wanted to be a zookeeper. I’ve since decided to work with smaller animals as a pet sitter, and I love it. Here I am pictured with my family rescue cat. He quickly took charge of the house, so we call him King Arthur. I have been working with Shake a Leg! for 2 years and will soon hit year 3.
